Text to start at the same place on...

I have a Indesign CS3 file, that has already been created. The document is 100 pages and each page has the same 9 categories, but each category has different amount of info... My Client would like each of the 9 categories to be in the exact same place regardless of how much info each category has.

My document has this info in 1 text box.. is there a way to format the headings of each category so that text starts at the same spot? Or any ideas on how to make this work?

TIA

read about Baseline Grid - but this will limit yout to exactly the same amount of space for each category - then you need to set ''Align to Baseline Grid'' in definition of paragraph style applied to Categories

or you can create 9 linked TextFrames - then you need set ''Start in Next Text Frame'' in definition of paragraph style applied to Categories

I'd set up text frames on the master page in the positions you want text to start. If your text is in a single file you can thread these frames and set your styles so that paragraphs start in the next frame.

I agree with Peter. Very useful tactic in catalogs, too.
