I figure this must have been asked before, yet I was not able to find it in the forums. Coming up with the right search terms ain't always easy. Please point me to any existing messages if you know this has already been answered.

I wanted to know if there is a way to toggle conditional text across all documents in a book?
I have conditional text on a master page in the document in a book. All the other docs synchronise with that document. There are 27 documents in the book, so currently toggling the conditional text means I have to open 27 files manually and change the conditional text setting on each.
Is there an easier way?
A built in feature for book wide conditional text toggling?
Some way to achieve it with a simple script?
Some other way?
Would be very happy to know about any options.... as this is somewhat tedious doing it the way I've described.
With much thanks,
Jonathan

Jonathan, Conditional Text settings (including visibility state) can be synchronized across docs in a book, same as styles and master pages.
Check your Synchronize Options (from the book panel menu) to make sure Conditional Text Settings is enabled in the list of things to synch. I think it's turned on by default though I'm not sure.
Then open the Style Source INDD file, toggle/tweak the Cond Text settings there, then synch away. ;-)

Thanks Anne-Marie...
Oddly I didn't even stop to look in the book syncronise options. Now I can only smile. I've only just upgraded from CS3, so still getting a hand on all the ropes.
Thank you for pointing this out. This is very good news!

Jonathan
No prob Jonathan.
I'd love to know what you're using the Conditional Text feature for! And what you used to do instead, in CS3.
