A client of mine has indesign 1.5 but cant find any installation disks.
I need to wipe his pc and do a clean install. he has numerous client ''.indd'' files (he is a printer agent).
Or - Is there any conversion software that will open these files for re-editing? I'm afraid I am not familiar with this software. He has told me money is tight...
Thanks in advance.
InDesign 1.5
Only InDesign will open and edit InDesign files. If your client can't find the installation disks but is a registered user he can contact
Adobe and purchase replacement disks. Don't be surprised if Adobe no longer stocks disks for an eight-year-old program that's seen five upgrades.
InDesign 1.5
Please post back if you have no luck.
I have a similar problem. I have Indesign files created with the bundled Indesign 2.0, but will not open with Indesign 1.5 upgraded to 2.0 with the two updates (2.02). When I attempt to open a file created with the bundled Indesign 2.02 it says to update my plugins to their latest versions or upgrade to the latest Indesign version.
I strongly suspect you are confusing InDesign 2 with InDesign CS2.

Well, my client has had no luck with Adobe, all support has ceased (of course)...
I'll just have to keep looking.
Thanks everyone.
