We have a book that uses text related running heads so that the running header changes to the current section. Everything works great until the source text for the running head has italic in it, because InD ignores the formatting in the source text.
I thought I'd try adding a 2nd reference in the running header that uses a different paragraph tag as it's source and make that reference italic, but then I get BOTH italic and the ''regular'' reference in the running head because InD goes to the previous page, as it should.
Does anyone have any clever ideas?
Many thanks,
Ken
Font Changes in Running Heads
Not very clever, but I've run into this about a dozen times since CS3
came out and this is the best I've come up with: Use a second master
page based on the first except with the custom running head.
Probably what you're already doing.

Font Changes in Running Heads
Thanks Ken, appreciate your time.
Yeah, I've been trying to decide between that and simply overriding the running head frames on those pages because the sections in this particular book are short.
Any idea of CS4 has anything for this?
Thanks again,
Ken

I've been using it some time now and I think it's superb.
