I am using ID CS4. Is there any way to turn off the box that gives you
the dimensions when creating a rectangle with the rectangle tool?

Edit %26gt; Preferences %26gt; Guides and Pasteboard %26gt; Smart Guides Options
Uncheck Smart Dimensions.
