Special danish caracters?

One of my associates has a problem after she switched from mac to windows. Her new PC based indesign wont produce the special danish caracters (忙, 酶 and 氓).



The fonts installed on the machine are indeed danish versions.

I would love to be able to help her as she is very sweet.

But i am a mac-user myself.



Any ideas?

I think she needs a keyboard with danish layout (and then don't forget to switch her computer to use danish keyboard also).

The other alternatives are, if the need is only occasional, to insert the characters using the glyphs panel or to use the alt codes.

Sure it will. This is not an Indesign problem. This is just a mac user

who's not used to PCs yet. As Claudius suggested, she could install a

Danish keyboard layout. Or as Peter suggested, she could use the Glyphs

panel (in Indesign) or ALT codes (in any Windows program). To input ALT

codes, hold down an ALT key while typing four numbers from the numeric

keypad on the right of the keyboard:



忙 = ALT 0230

酶 = ALT 0248

氓 = ALT 0229
