No problem when there isn't any file open.
Thanks for help.
Application error crash
This appears to have something to do with the links panel. Does it happen with all files, or just particular ones? Does it happen if you try to create a new file?
My first reaction is that there is a corrupt link, but that would only be true if the problem is isolated.
Try closing the links panel and see if that helps. Maybe turn off Pre-flight as well.
If it isn't document-specific, the first thing I'd try is replacing the application preferences.

Application error crash
The crash happens everytime i open a file (every new or old file), even if the document hasn't links or text on. The problem happens only if i click on modify men霉.
I use the English version, and don't have a ''modify'' menu, so perhaps you can tell me what's under that so I can figure out which menu that is in English.
Have you tried replacing the preferences?
The english name of the menu is EDIT. I'll try to replace preferences (i don't know how can i do it!) . Thank you very much.

The above link is for CS3, and has a comment from me on how to find the files manually for backing up, in case you want them back after replacing them makes no difference. The information about the keyboard shortcuts is still valid, and the path information is essentially correct in the comment, except that there is now an additional subfolder under the Design Version folder for your language.
THANK you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You saved me!!!!
You're welcome. Replacing the preferences is the first troubleshooting step for any generalized weirdness.
