Rounded corners

[InDesign CS4]

Can someone pls tell me how to draw rectangular boxes with rounded corners?

Rounded corners
Start ID. Select the rectangle tool and drag to draw a square / rectangle. With the shape still selected, select the Object menu and from there select the Corner Effects sub menu. From the corner effect dialogue box, select the Rounded option from the Effect menu. You can select the degree of 'roundness' for your shape by entering a figure in the Size menu.

You can also use the CornerEffects sample script to apply effects to only specific corners, if you like.



If you use a lot of rounded-corner frames you might also want to create an object style for them. That's a lot faster than going to the menu every time.
